The Enviroschools programme supports children and young people to plan, design and implement sustainability actions that are important to them and their communities.
Remuera Intermediate School participates in the programme and achieved a Bronze status in 2013.
Enviroschools fulfills the following principles that are embedded in our School Vision:
- To promote environmental sustainability and integrate Maori perspectives within the school and the community.
- To empower students with leadership so as to work towards creating a healthy, peaceful and inclusive school community while promoting respect for the diversity of people and cultures.
- Encourage positive change and action through involvement of many people within the school community.
